Overview

A lovely old cottage, found in the heart of Gunnerside, Burnside has a wonderful Yorkshire Dales charm, combined with up-to-date luxurious warmth and comfort.

It has old wooden doors and reclaimed pine floorboards alongside modern beautiful oak furniture and attractive furnishings, and multi-fuel stove in the living room (coal included).

Relax in the large, light, comfortable main bedroom (with kingsize bed), listening to the murmur of the beck. A charming second upstairs bedroom has twin beds, while a third bedroom downstairs is a 4 foot double.

With a gorgeous family bathroom upstairs (with slipper bath) and luxury shower room halfway up the old stone stairs, the cottage has plenty of space and hot water for couples or families.

A perfect retreat in gorgeous Swaledale to come back to year after year!

A delightful home away from home. What a treat to have a good pub on the doorstep. We have enjoyed long and interesting walks in every direction, what a stunning location! If we were looking for a holiday cottage, we would seriously consider buying this one. You are not aware of neighbours – hooray for thick walls! Thanks very much.Christopher and Sally Brentor, Devon

Testimonials

A fantastic week of walking in Swaledale, can’t believe how lucky we’ve been with the weather. Nice, comfortable cottage with everything we needed. Lovely meals and beer in the pub, what more could you ask for? Many thanks.Jonathan and Sharon, Knaresborough
A cosy and well-equipped cottage: we enjoyed the coal fire – one or two evenings were distinctly chilly, even in June! A relaxing break.Jan and Eric Woolfenden, Kenilworth
We enjoyed making a coal fire in the evenings because it has been pretty cold. Good pub!Barbara and Ron, Falmouth, USA
A comfortable cottage with lovely walks from the doorstep. We enjoyed walking to Muker along the river through the meadows, nice to hear the cuckoo and see the dippers. The pub at Tan Hill provided a surprisingly good lunch. The King’s Head was nice and close. The Dellers, Naseby, Northants
We had an enjoyable stay in a cosy little cottage! Particularly enjoyed the real stove, still a chill in the air at nighttime. Overall, the cottage is well stocked for kitchen utensils and pretty much everything to hand. Many thanks. The Church family, Southam
