Chapel Farmhouse is an attractive cottage in the hamlet of Whaw, in rugged Arkengarthdale, with masses of character and comfort, including beamed and boarded ceilings, tiled floors and a feature stone fireplace.

Sleeping 4, the cottage has central heating, two multi-fuel stoves (coal included) in lovely fireplaces and antique furniture.

The two bedrooms each have ensuite shower rooms, and the newly fitted kitchen has dishwasher and induction hob. South-facing, the cottage has a big garden and benches where you can sit and marvel at amazing hill views.

A charming cottage, Chapel Farmhouse is off the beaten track and the ideal cottage for a Dales holiday!

We have had a lovely stay at your well-equipped cottage. Joyce and Chris made us feel very welcome with tea, milk and biscuits on arrival. We made good use of the maps and as the weather was much better than expected, we were able to make some beautiful walks. We enjoyed the warmth of the sun in the beautiful garden and the warmth of the stove in the cosy lounge. We will cherish the memories!Leen and Liesbeth Melissant, the Netherlands

We have really enjoyed our stay in beautiful Arkengarthdale. The house is very warm and comfortable and in all respects an ideal holiday retreat in a beautiful setting. We look forward to returning.Sydney and Teri Lockton, Norfolk
We are glad our friend, Teri, invited us to share a week with them in this lovely cottage – pretty garden, great views and the sound of the beck burbling over the stones. Cosy and very well-equipped, just what a cottage should be.The Robinsons, Suffolk
Our first visit to this cottage, our seventh time in the Dales. The cottage: exactly what we’ve come to expect from Judith’s selection, lovely and clean, well-equipped and comfortable. Pluses dishwasher, the ensuites, the lovely garden. Negatives: none, nothing that I can criticise at all! We’ve been to Brough Show, Tan Hill, scarecrows at Kettlewell, Lighwater Valley and the caves at Stubb Cross (really good). Plenty of bats at night and a weasel who patrols the garden. All in all, a great week! Thanks. PS. We enjoyed the coffee machine! A great place to celebrate Alice’s 21st birthday! The Reays, Whitley Bay
Such a lovely, well-equipped cottage with all home comforts – loved having plants in the dining room and lounge – made the cottage so much more alive. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and what a super place to choose to celebrate our Golden Wedding.  We couldn’t have chosen anywhere better.  Thank you Chris and Joyce for making us so welcome and providing such a wonderful place to stay – far from the madding crowd with only the sound of birdsong and a babbling brook.  Thank you again.Nigel and Sylvia, Devizes, Wiltshire
Thank you so much for a fantastic stay in your wonderful cottage.  A fabulous place to watch the Tour (de France)!  We appreciated all of the tiny details you have considered for your guests (loved the eco-friendly appliances and light switches – will be sourcing them when we get home!!). Thank you, thank you, thank you.The Robertson Family, Sydney, Australia
