Welcome Back (again) to Cat Hole Cottages!

After a long (and snowy!) winter in lockdown here in the Dales, the government announcement and positive news we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived. There is now a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel and we are hoping to reopen once again on Monday 12th April – subject to government guidance.

We’re very excited to be able to welcome guests to our cottages and the beautiful local area once again, and of course we’ll be doing so safely with all Covid-19 safety measures and social distancing in place while required.

Similarly to the last time we reopened, things will be slightly different to ‘normal’ for guests visiting in the coming weeks, as our communities and local businesses adjust to the reopening guidelines. But as always, there are still so many wonderful places to visit and things to do during a visit to the Dales. Luckily, outdoor hospitality and non-essential retail will be allowed to operate when we reopen, so our lots of our villages and local market town centres will be starting to come alive again – and best of all, you’ll be able to enjoy a drink in the pub beer gardens!

Of course, there is still the wonderful countryside to explore and enjoy, straight from your doorstep! Explore Pen Hill or wander along the Swale – there are plenty of places to visit both safely and for free. The Yorkshire Dales offers such a great place to retreat to, especially after all the uncertainty of the 12 months or so, with so many open spaces that allow for a stress-free break.

Going forward, bookings are open again for our cottages, but we are quickly filling up for the most popular dates and cottages! Why not have a browse and book yourself a break for some time this year? If your dates or favourite cottage is booked, perhaps take a look at 2022 alternatively as we’ve already received many bookings for next year too. Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions, we look forward to welcoming all of our guests back to the Yorkshire Dales soon!
