Overview

A stunning, spacious Dales farmhouse, sleeping 8 – 10, in four bedrooms, in the hamlet of Simonstone, near Hawes in Wensleydale.

Low Shaw Farmhouse is set just above Simonstone Hall Hotel, overlooking Hawes, and with superb views of Wensleydale from the property. The house is really roomy, and furnished with an eye to quality detail and charm.

The owners visit regularly, and want to share their beautiful home with holiday guests.

The house has a large family dining kitchen, with well-equipped utility room off, two spacious living areas and two sets of stairs, the first leading to a double and twin / single bedrooms, and the second leading to king and family bedrooms, the latter having four single beds. There is a bathroom in each half the house, and a lovely small south-facing garden, with good views of Wensleydale.

Parking for two cars only; further cars can be parked on the layby on the main road, 100m from the house. Free wifi and dog-friendly, Low Shaw Farmhouse is perfectly situated for exploring both Wensleydale and Swaledale.

Low Shaw Farmhouse is bookable for short breaks or weeks’ holiday with friends or extended family and good dogs. All bath towels, tea towels and bed linen are included. Note, if extra linen/towels from cupboards are used, there will be an extra charge of £25 for linen and £5 per towel. Sorry no stag or hen parties and please cause no damage. Arrival time is (strictly) 4pm, departure time (promptly) 10am.

Week bookings run from Saturday to Saturday (reserve online or telephone 01748 886366). To see price and availability, click the “Book Now” button (you have not committed yourself to a booking by doing so).

Short breaks are available (see FAQs). Please contact us to confirm a short break booking, or for a price for a different number of nights.

You can pay by cheque, BACS or by card. A deposit of £90 is due on booking, including a £10 booking fee (sorry, we don’t accept online payments). Please note, deposit and booking fee are non-refundable in the event of cancellation.

You can send a cheque, payable to Cat Hole Cottages Ltd, to Cat Hole House, Thwaite, Richmond DL11 6DR, with the name of the cottage and holiday date on back of chq; pay by BACS, sort code 09-01-28, acc 37806627, ref initials or first word of cottage and holiday date; ring to pay by card, 01748 886366.
